Newsletter – Spring 2008

Dear Members

Welcome to our Spring newsletter. A very big “Thank you” to my committee members whose help have enabled this newsletter to be published so promptly, so you can look ahead and book these fantastic training opportunities in your diary.

Our two-day course with Carl Hester and Di Lampard was a real tonic to the start of 2008 and our turnout for the committee meeting, AGM and dinner a record! (Please read enclosed reports.) The Association hopes to have Carl and Di again for 7th/8th January 2009 – their dates permitting.

I was delighted to see Sue Pimbley acknowledging the help she gained from Carl at the Annual F&I course in Horse and Hound. Please could everyone keep promoting and publicising our great Association. I was also very encouraged to see new members at our course and fellow coaches and instructors from the other disciplines. I would like to feel that each one of us could recruit at least one BHSI into the Association. Please also remember that our training days are usually open to future candidates who are training towards their BHSI and often members’ guests.

We are aware that our database of members needs updating! Please could ALL MEMBERS fill in a new membership form with all your details on it and send to Maggie Doel.

Our first training day is almost upon us – Tuesday February 19th at Hartpury, so I hope to see you there. All the other training days are listed in the newsletter with the date, price and a contact number to book.

I feel the Association is going from strength to strength but the committee always look forward to constructive criticism and ideas for future training days.

I hope you all have a very successful 2008.

William Blane FBHS, Chairman, F&I Association.
